Could someone die on The Walking Dead season 7 finale?
After all, we don’t imagine that anything that happens will be similar at all in terms of the show’s tone. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, executive producer Scott M. Gimple posted the following message when it comes to some of what you can expect to see when it comes to death, but also how it could come together as a part of this new quest for unity:
“Well, there are losses … As the stakes get higher and higher… things start to get more intense and heartbreaking, and yet everyone has to sort of band together and keep going.”
One of the real differences when it comes to where the show is now, as opposed to where the show was at the end of season 6, is that there is a pretty clear expectation at the moment in terms of what everyone is getting themselves into. There’s an awareness that on the other side of the finale, there could be a tremendous loss of life. Nobody is kidding themselves into thinking that the mission to stop Negan is anything more than possible suicide. It’s bigger than any one person, and this was at the crux of the conversation that existed in the last episode between Rick and Michonne. We definitely do think that he wants to continue to be with her, but we also think that he is very much aware now that this is a cause far bigger than him.
As for who we’re worried about the most, you may as well go ahead and throw Rosita and Sasha pretty high on the list. In case of the former, she seems to have more or less a death wish at the moment. Meanwhile, the latter has to be afraid of Sonequa Martin-Green joining Star Trek: Discovery.
