Lucifer season 3 taking off to Los Angeles

Lucifer season 3-

For everyone out there excited already about Lucifer season 3, even more great news — the show is heading to its natural home.

Per a report from Deadline, production for the upcoming season (which will film a little bit later this year) will be moving from where it is right now in Vancouver to Los Angeles, which makes some sense given that this is where the series is actually set. The great news that comes with that is that this move allows everyone to be more centrally located to where they actually live (remember, most of the cast doesn’t live in Canada full-time), and it could create a more authentic experience.

One of the reasons why the move could be coming is that it could be a recipient of a potential tax credit coming up. Like many other shows that are out there, the show was in Vancouver as a cost-saving measure. Getting an opportunity to still be affordable while shooting close to the writers was probably something that the producers couldn’t pass up.

There is something funny about writing this now, mostly for one simple reason — the second season is still far from over! Not only that, but it’s not even going to be on the air for a rather long time — think May. The show has such a lengthy hiatus in order to make the way for some other stuff. Given the recent ratings for Fox’s Monday lineup, though, we think that they’re probably excited already to get Tom Ellis and company back on the air. This may not be one of the highest-rated shows on TV, but it does draw consistent numbers and has a fairly devoted following who will watch it most likely no matter when it airs.

Hopefully, at some point either later this month or in early April we’ll get some further news regarding what could be coming up next on the show. Given the progression of the Lucifer / Chloe story to date, there is a lot for the writers to take on if they choose.
