The Voice Blind Auditions: Quizz Swanigan from ‘Blaze and the Monster Machines’
Swanigan (who also goes by KidQuizz online) does voice-acting work for the show Blaze and the Monster Machines, and he came on the show tonight with a performance of the classic song “Who’s Loving You” that certainly got the attention of the judges. Specifically, this performance drew a showdown between two coaches in Gwen Stefani and Alicia Keys who we haven’t seen square off over the course of the show to date — at least in a one-on-one fashion. Given the quality of his voice and the potential he’s got as such a young singer, it’s easy to see why they were interested.
Who did he choose? – In the end, he went with … Team Alicia! No real surprise here, given that she’s accumulated a ton of great talent so far, including Felicia from the premiere!
In getting Quizz, she’s going to have a chance to mold someone who is still super-young, and capable of doing a lot of different stuff in the competition. What he’s got going for him above anything else is personality and a work ethic, judging from everything else that he’s done.
Something else to check out
We’re trying to give you little windows into the contestants this season, and the video below is no exception. There, you can see Quizz make an appearance on a silly Kidz Pop parody that aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! a while back. As someone who was once mocked on the show many years ago, we have to welcome him to the club! Also, we welcome him to The Voice and we’ll see precisely how the show ends up going for him this season.
