How can a Blindspot season 3 renewal happen? We’ve got some suggestions…
With that in mind, we’re glad to be dropping in here with some of our own suggestions as to what both you, and the show, can do in order to ensure that it has the best odds possible of coming back.
1. More live viewers (obviously) – This is the biggest concern right now, since it doesn’t matter so much what’s going on with the show if people are watching it! The two most-recent episodes drew series-low ratings (0.8) in the 18-49 demographic, and there needs to be a movement to either get some former live viewers back, or find a way to encourage some new viewers to jump on board. Given that the show does have a ton of action and characters who are easily memorable, in theory it shouldn’t be all that hard in order to get some more viewers on board.
2. Drive social interaction – Tweet often during the show, but try also coming up with custom hashtags and diversifying. This can help make a quicker impact in rising up the trending topic ladder. New hashtags are something that some other shows like Longmire have used in the past in order to drive some further viewers to the show.
3. Easy-to-promote guest stars – That was one of the great things about getting Ronda Rousey on the show later this season — this is the sort of thing that drives casual viewers to the show. The more opportunities that we get to have something like this, the more likely some people will watch just out of curiosity. We’re not always for shows really reaching out for notable guest stars, but for one on the bubble, it can be one of the things that helps to turn the tide.
Ultimately, NBC has until May in order to decide on the show’s future. Let’s hope for the best, and that the ratings pick up when the show returns this month.

Replace all the writers with people who know something — anything — about what they’re wiring about. My favorite line so far from our ex-Navy SEAL, “Can a stinger (missile) take down an airplane?” HINT: a stinger is an ANTI-AIRCRAFT MISSILE. It has no other function.

Not sure if you saw the bit in the first season where Sullivan Stapleton mentioned that he had to teach the whole cast how to hold a gun, how to shoot, & to clear the room….& all of which he learned from ex SAS, SBS, & mercs from Strike Back… ?

Yes, it’s pretty obvious that none of the writers know anything about law enforcement, terrorism, or the military. Their “research” comes from watching other bad TV shows. BLINDSPOT had a great concept but it suffered from poor execution.

Are u referencing Jane being an ex SEAL because I think at that point she didn’t even remember being in the military. So its plausible she couldn’t remember what a stinger can do. Muscle memory is different from knowledge.
