Shadowhunters season 2, episode 10 (winter finale) spoilers: Can Valentine be stopped?

The Shadowhunters season 2 winter finale is coming onto Freeform in one week’s time, and as a result of that, there is one key question that you like want an answer to: Are we going to see Valentine be defeated? The stakes have never been higher moving into this episode, and there could be a loss of life if the Shadowhunters don’t act fast. These are desperate times, and as the old expression goes, this could mean some desperate measures.

Specifically, we mean that in the context of Clary. We’re going to see her be targeted, and the results of that could be varied … to put it mildly. Look below for some further details of what is coming up.

Synopsis – “The New York Institute is under attack as Valentine’s plan for The Soul Sword is getting dangerously close to coming to fruition. The Shadowhunters must act fast to save their loved ones and the rest of the Downworld. Meanwhile, some of the Downworlders have their own plan to stop Valentine and their target is Clary.”

Whatever happens in this episode, let’s just hope that it is exciting and dramatic enough for us to be able to handle what will be a pretty long hiatus of at least a few months. Beyond that, let’s also hope that the show gets some sort of ratings boost to go along with it. Despite whatever buzz it gets in terms of its total viewers, we’re always going to worry about a show like this generating the numbers that it needs to in order to stick around given its performance so far this season.
