The Bachelor episode 10 preview: Vanessa Grimaldi, Nick Viall’s overnight date
Basically, we’re considering episode 10 to be the most anticlimactic episode in the history of the show. The odds of Rachel being in the final two feel astronomically low at this point. If she is, there is ZERO tension in the finale at all. Maybe Nick already knew at this point on the show who he was choosing, and as a result of that, the producers asked him to eliminate Rachel here so that they could have time to prepare her as the Bachelorette and cast for her season.
Another possibility? Maybe he was torn between Raven Gates and Vanessa, but knew Rachel was in third. Either way, she’s almost certainly gone soon.
The big thing that we are expecting moving into this episode is for things to get more serious between Nick and Vanessa. He’s already had his overnight date with Raven, and we know from Hometowns that there are serious conversations that he needs to have with Vanessa about the future. They may have deep feelings for each other, but they live in separate countries and we’re not sure how much compromise there is there. (Our sentiment is that Nick should move to Montreal if he wants to be with her. He’s shown a willingness to move before, and her work is really valuable and helps people. His fame could transfer up there and he could find some work.)
Beyond overnight dates
Next week will also give you The Women Tell All, otherwise known as one of the most-bloated two-hour spectacles out there. You’ll probably have about twenty minutes of interesting stuff, some bloopers, and then a whole lot of filler. Expect a lot of Rachel and Corinne in particular.
