Why isn’t Jimmy Palmer in every episode of NCIS? Brian Dietzen weighs in
This is a specific brand of confusion that star Brian Dietzen (who plays the character) clarified on Twitter. He’s not in every episode simply because he’s not contracted for every episode. Of course, he wishes that he was, but we know that this is a way to stretch out the cast somewhat and save a little money here and there for the studio. This is a subject that we also discussed recently with Willa Holland and Arrow. It may cause concern here and there for fans, but it decided upon for production far in advance.
Would we be down for more Jimmy consistently? Absolutely, especially since he had such a noteworthy episode earlier this season that led to a personal revelation about him. For the time being, though, let’s just be happy that he continues to be a part of the show and the family. The thing about this show is that it moves like clockwork. It may be depressing that we don’t get to see a lot of him right now, but there will be another feature episode for him potentially at some point. The thing that’s exciting is that Brian would love to be in more if given the opportunity. Fingers crossed that will happen in season 15! (Remember the show’s already been renewed for that.)
This has been a rather eventful past few days when it comes to NCIS; after all, we just reported earlier today about a big episode coming up that will offer up an opportunity to learn a little bit more about an organization that helps veterans.

I would be happy with more Jimmy and less of the new people.

I hope we see more of Jimmy this season. Duckie still gets around fine for his age.

I would expect Jimmy to be in more episodes since Duckie is near 90.

Please don’t bury him yet: David Macullam is 82 and still very active!

The episode with Brian on the ledge was really one of the best. I just wish he was in more shows . Hopefully they’ll give him another role like this one
