Nick Viall’s The Bachelor: The Women Tell All tapes with Rachel Lindsay
This glorious news was first reported by show creator Mike Fleiss on Twitter, who decided (in traditional Fleiss fashion) to hype up extensively the appearance of one Rachel Lindsay on the show. This does make a certain degree of sense when you think about it, give that he already knows she is the Bachelorette and wants to promote her as being as exciting and interesting as possible.
This news is especially interesting when you think for a minute about timing. Not only was this the earliest that we’ve ever learned about the next Bachelorette, it’s also the first time the news has been reported before a taping for one of these specials. We wonder if this will influence the behavior of anyone in the room. We know that if we knew someone was the next Bachelor / Bachelorette, we’d be less willing to go at them. You don’t want to cause trouble with the golden boy / girl of the franchise — that’ll lead to bad edit city! Remember here that these shows are heavily edited even for them being in a live studio audience format. They can still take out bits and pieces of anything that you say.
As for when this special will actually air, think in terms of a week from Monday. It’s not going to be on this week — as a matter of fact, the show itself will barely be on. Due to a new ABC miniseries, there is only going to be an hour-long episode of the show; the conclusion of it plus the Women Tell All will air as a three-hour block the following week (March 6). Set your party schedules accordingly!
