Full Supergirl – Arrow – Legends of Tomorrow – The Flash crossover coming in 2017

DC -

Could there be a proper SupergirlThe FlashArrowLegends of Tomorrow 2017 crossover? That’s the hope we’ve got right now, with there being two very simple reasons for it.

1. The first crossover, entitled “Invasion!” across the shows that were a part of it, proved to be great fun. There was a sense of tremendous action, and even with somewhat of a lame villain in the Dominators, the fun of getting everyone together more than made up for it.

2. There was a little bit of blowback about the first crossover event, largely because of the fact that there was a ton of hype around the Supergirl part of it, and it was really just a normal episode with a tiny tag at the end of it of Cisco Ramon and Barry Allen stopping over. This is a chance to make things right in 2017.

Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, show executive producer Andrew Kreisberg made it clear that there were plans to change that up moving into the fall. Not only that, but there was a rather specific reason why it could be different:

“Next year, we’re hoping to do a true four-way crossover … The great thing about our dear friends at the CW and Mark Pedowitz picking the shows up as early as they did has allowed us to start building the schedules for next season.”

Kreisberg’s statement does have a heck of a lot of validity to it, mostly because of the fact that the network didn’t have Supergirl on its roster officially until we got closer to the May sweeps. As a result of that, there was significantly less time to plan around it being a part of the event. Now, there is a ton of time that can be afforded to getting this together, which is great given that it will probably as ambitious as ever before.

Here’s one other funny thing: Consider the possibility of Black Lightning (which did just cast a lead) being a part of the universe. Could there be a five-part crossover? NOTHING has been confirmed on the subject, but that is absolutely something that we could envision happening if the right meetings were had.

Do you think that we should get a crossover featuring all four shows properly this time around? Did you enjoy that more than the standard episode? Share below! (Photo: The CW.)
