‘Lethal Weapon’ episode 17 preview: The last before the finale

Lethal -Did Fox do right by “Lethal Weapon” by only giving the series eighteen episodes in its first season? Let’s just say that for the time being, we do understand the sentiment of many people out there who wish that there could be more. We know that Fox wants to try out some other things later in the season, so for the time being, just relish in the fact that you’re going to get a second season of the show and brace yourself for the final two episodes of season 1.

The first of these two episodes is “A Problem Like Maria,” which is going to air in two weeks on Wednesday, March 8. We will start things off here by saying that one of the last things that we ever expected in advance of writing about a “Lethal Weapon” episode is a reference to “The Sound of Music.”

Now, let’s go ahead and share a few more details in terms of what is actually coming to be coming up.

Synopsis – “Riggs and Murtaugh team up again with DEA Agent Karen Palmer (guest star Hilarie Burton), and together they gain inside knowledge of dangerous new cartel operations. As Riggs’ attachment to Palmer deepens, so do his impulsive actions, further worrying Captain Avery and Delgado (guest star Tony Plana). In the meantime, Trish explores the potential of an amazing new career opportunity.”

Will Riggs be putting himself in a difficult situation because of his feelings? That seems to be the case, and it is going to probably be something that he is going to have to reconcile by the end of the season if he wants his partnership to continue to be successful. In general, thinking about the present and pondering over the future will most-likely be key themes of the final episodes of the season. Would you really want it to be any other way when you’re at this point in the show? You want there to be higher stakes and further drama than ever before.

Promo – It’s funny, but there’s not a lot to go on here.
