‘Chicago Fire’ season 5: What tension lies ahead for Casey and Dawson?

Chicago Fire -Mrs. Carter: Are Dawson and Casey ever going to have a break on “Chicago Fire“?

Sooner or later, it’s understandable that you would want them to get to a point where they can have a little bit of time to kick back, relax, and reflect a little bit on what’s happened — however, that’s not really ingrained into the fabric of the show. The reality here is more that this is a show where terrible stuff just tends to happen constantly, and you have to prepare to handle it to the best of your ability. If they just came home and watched new episodes of other NBC shows (let’s make it meta, people!), there wouldn’t be much drama there. They probably do that during the hiatuses.

According to Entertainment Weekly, one of the latest sources of drama for the couple coming up is going to be geared on the subject of Dawson’s father, who recently announced that he and his wife were divorcing right in the middle of celebrating a party that was meant to be all about them.

As you can imagine, this was a rather-devastating thing to do in the middle of the event, and it absolutely is something that she’s going to have to continue dealing with for a little while. It’s made all the worse by the fact that she wants to help her dad get his life back on track by staying with her for a while!

Kudos to her for being a good person for trying to help her dad out, but the downside here is that this is going to put her and Casey in a situation where there is more tension between them. Remember that they’re still getting over the fact that they no longer have Louis, and they’re now injecting this other person into the whole whose most-recent noteworthy moment was dividing up his own family. This could get rough, and be a test for the newly-married couple. We’re sure they will get through it, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be easy.

One other thing to note: We’re going to have an exclusive preview of the next new episode up on Tuesday at around 9:00 a.m. Eastern time! If you’re a Severide fan, you’re going to want to come back for it. Visit the link here so you know where to go to see it. (Photo: NBC.)
