‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 17 preview: When will Donnie Wahlberg, cast return?

Blue Bloods season 7Tonight, “Blue Bloods” gave you a memorable guest appearance as Linda Reagan’s brother-in-law Jimmy, a troubled guy who was struggling and in need of a helping hand. Unfortunately, in the process we continued to see just how much he was struggling when it came to figuring out a way to help himself.

Now, let’s pause for a moment and start to look ahead towards the future of the show … and we’ll begin that by answering the question above. The Donnie Wahlberg series is going to be returning on Friday, March 10, which is a pretty darn long period to wait … especially when you think about the other CBS shows that are airing on Friday nights. The real reason here for the delay is that this show has a shorter episode order than “Hawaii Five-0,” whereas “MacGyver” is airing a little bit earlier in the spring so that “The Amazing Race” can come on the air before we get around to May.

“Shadow of a Doubt” is the title for the next new episode, and we can go ahead and offer you up a few more details when it comes to precisely what we’re going to see on the story from here.

Synopsis – “Jamie and Eddie suspect foul play when they respond to a distress call from a woman having an allergic reaction to her lifesaving medication, and learn that her husband is an EMT assigned to take her call, but didn’t respond. Also, Erin learns that a man she convicted years earlier might be innocent of the crime, and Frank handles a PR crisis in his department when an exposé on Garrett Moore is published.”

As far as the story goes, it is certainly nice to see Jamie and Eddie get the lead in the story — though with that said, there’s nothing tangible in here on the surface for any ‘shippers out there to cling to. Fingers crossed that we to see something more in the episode.

What’s interesting is that despite us mentioning Donnie both in the title and within the body of this article, there’s no telling yet what Danny’s going to be up to. Rest assured, we still feel like he’ll find a way to have his presence felt.
