‘The Blacklist’ season 4, episode 15 preview: James Spader’s Red fights for his life

The Blacklist logo any seasonNext week, in addition to being the premiere of “The Blacklist: Redemption,” is going to be the final episode of “The Blacklist” until April. This one is entitled “The Apothecary,” and based on some of the information that we’ve got on the show now, we’re not going to see a whole lot of messing around when it comes to the story that is coming up.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve learned that there is someone targeting Reddington and his entire operation — they hired Isabella Stone, and he’s already seen some of his associates in grave danger. Moving into the next new episode, we’re going to see the crosshairs ultimately shift a little over to Red himself. His own life will be in danger, and the Task Force is going to do what they can in order to ensure that he lives. The character mentioned in the title just so happens to be one of the few people who could eventually offer up the antidote that he so desperately needs.

Synopsis – “After being dosed with a deadly poison, Red (James Spader) must retrace his steps to uncover who of his closest confidants has betrayed him. Meanwhile, Liz (Megan Boone) and the Task Force desperately search for the designer of the toxin in a race against time to save Red.”

Given that this is the last episode that you’re going to see over the next couple of months, there is one thing that we imagine you’re going to see: A dramatic cliffhanger-of-sorts. Do you think that the show would wrap things up neatly? The one challenge that the writers have here is that they can’t make the cliffhanger too dramatic, since they will basically have to address it on “Redemption” if they go in that direction.
