‘Arrow’ season 5, episode 14 preview: Cupid, China White, and more return

cupid -Why haven’t we seen more of Prometheus as of late on “Arrow“? We understand the question, but unfortunately, we don’t have too much in the way of answers right now.

The one thing that we can tell you is that we’re going to be seeing some other great, super-memorable villains step out for next week’s new episode “The Sin-Eater.” Cupid’s a personal favorite, and the show looks to be remaking the Suicide Squad once more in this episode … though it’s probably not going to be called that name, and these characters are likely to be more chaotic evil than they are anything else. We don’t see Carrie Cutter being in the mood to do any good after spending a ton of time in Iron Heights. (Can we reinforce here that this is a show that desperately needs to hire some more prison guards? The same goes for the entire DC Comics universe on The CW.)

Synopsis – “China White (guest star Kelly Hu), Cupid (guest star Amy Gumenick) and Liza Warner (guest star Rutina Wesley) break out of Iron Heights and head to Star City for revenge. Oliver (Stephen Amell) tries to bring in the newly formed girl gang but the ACU intervenes mid-fight. To his surprise, they are there to arrest the Green Arrow for the murder of Detective Malone. Meanwhile, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) feels responsible for the prison break after Warner tells him she heard about him working with Damien Darhk.”

Obviously, things aren’t looking too good for Oliver Queen given that he’s going to be surrounded on almost all fronts. The Anti-Crime Unit that he started in office is there to arrest is alter ego, and he’s got more villains roaming around the city than ever before.

Even if there isn’t too much forward movement on the Prometheus story just yet (who knows? There could be), this episode at least sounds like it’ll be fun. As someone who advocates constantly for more female villains on this show, getting these three in one episode is a cause for celebration.

Promo – This encapsulates everything we’ve mentioned, and gives you to boot a big moment with the Green Arrow’s supposed arrest.
