‘MacGyver’ spoilers: Bozer gets his first overseas assignment!
There are several different reasons to like the first season of “MacGyver,” but one of the biggest ones is the continued presence of Justin Hires as Bozer. He started the series on the outside looking in, but he’s slowly and surely been used more. First, he was hired by the Phoenix Foundation. Then, he managed to win over Matty Webber against all odds.
Now, we’re going to see him in a very new environment on the upcoming February 24 episode of the show entitled “Ruler” — overseas, helping on a mission! We’ve seen him out in the field before, but never out of the confines of the United States.
Based on the first photo for the episode above, there’s probably one thing that you can already assume: This doesn’t go all that well for the parties involved. Hey, doesn’t he have to get a little bit of practice out in the field at some point? To be fair, it may not be his fault at all; all we can say about this story for the time being is that Mac and the rest of his team are blamed for a terrorist bombing while out in the mission, and the Phoenix Foundation is put into a tough spot where they have to disavow them. Maybe that doesn’t end up being the case permanently, but this looks like one more tricky bind that the team is going to have to squirm their way out of in order to get everyone back on their side.
What’s also notable about this episode is that in order to clear their names, the team is going to have to make disguises … of course using very few materials. It’s a little bit of what you love about the show, but with a different twist since it’s not exactly all that often that we see our heroes actually be blamed for something that they didn’t do at all.
