Cable ratings: How are ‘Suits’ season 6, ‘Nashville’ season 5 holding up?

Suits -It feels like it’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve handed down the latest on the ratings for “Suits” and “Nashville,” so the whole purpose of this article is geared around one thing: Trying to extrapolate some of the latest data that is out there.

“Suits” – The great news is that the show is already renewed for a seventh season. The bad news remains that the show is still in the midst of the worst slump that we’ve seen on the show to date. Wednesday’s episode drew him a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which matches the performance of the two episodes before that. All of these ratings are the lowest figures that the show’s ever seen.

All of this surprises us for a number of different reasons. For one, we think that the show is fantastic, and it remains one of the most exciting shows that get a chance to cover. We would figure viewers would feel the same. While we certainly don’t want to go here, we did also think that the increased publicity of the show because of Meghan Markle’s personal life would help it. Alas, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

“Nashville” – Meanwhile, the latest episode of this show on CMT drew a 0.2 rating, which is about even with the week before. It’s still a pretty small figure in contrast to what the show was drawing on ABC, but one of the big questions that you have to wonder here is strictly this: How well is the show doing on Hulu? Is the streaming plan for the show going to be enough to keep it on the air? It’s a little early to know for certain, but this is absolutely something that we’re curious to find out. Hopefully, the news about Connie Britton’s potential departure at the end of the season isn’t something that causes people to be distressed and stop watching.

We’ll get a chance to see where the ratings go moving forward on these seasons, but hopefully, there will be some positive news to report.
