NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 6, episode 7 preview: Monroe’s birthday getaway goes south

Let’s face it: Getaways are not an easy thing for people within the “Grimm” universe to get. More often than not, you have to prepare for the possibility that one way or another, something’s going to happen that renders it next to impossible for you to enjoy yourself. Either some monster’s going to turn up, or something is going to happen back at home that forces you to drift your mind from whatever it is that you wanted to do.

On “Blind Love” next week, you’re certainly going to see that happen — not only that, but we’ve got some more information as to what you can expect to see below:

Synopsis – “Rosalee (Bree Turner) surprises Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) with a getaway for his birthday and invites most of the gang to join them. Things take a shocking turn when a hotel employee targets Nick (David Giuntoli) in an effort to avenge his father. Meanwhile, Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) gets a visit from a dark force that she has seen before. Elsewhere, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) spends the weekend with Diana (guest star Hannah R. Loyd) when a former ally decides to get even.”

There is probably a large part of this story that is going to be fun, just because there is something inherently interesting about seeing what people like Rosalee or Monroe would do if given an opportunity to try to unwind. Of course, that does quickly fade when you think for a minute about what sort of threats that they could end up facing in the episode.

As for the Capt. Renard – Diana story, let’s just say that this is a completely different sort of getaway. There may not be any pretense of peace in there at all.
