‘The Bachelor’: Rachel Lindsay, Raven Gates among true Nick Viall contenders

While you are enjoying one pastime in the Super Bowl today, know this: There’s another great one coming in “The Bachelor” in just 24 hours! We’re at the part of the season right now where we start to see things get serious with the leading man and some of his women, and we certainly think that this is true right now when it comes to Nick Viall and some of the women who are a part of his season at the moment.

For the record, there are no major spoilers ahead — the following names are just of the four people who, at the moment, seem to be the only people with a realistic shot at this. Note that we’re not throwing Corinne Olympios in the mix … for obvious reasons. She just seems to be around mostly for the sake of drama.

Danielle Maltby – The fact that Nick just gave her a Group Date Rose does show to us that he still values his relationship to her, even if they haven’t had a solo date since the start of the season. They have a bond that is a little more adult, and based a little less on drama or some other silliness.

Rachel Lindsay – She’s extremely likable, professional, and you already have gotten to know a good bit of her story. That’s more than we can say about many of the other contenders who are a part of the season at the moment. She’s so easy to relate to since she’s got a story of focusing on work over love that so many people relate to.

Vanessa Grimaldi – She’s really challenged Nick more than almost anyone else this season, and the fact that she’s been able to do that while still stick around this season really says something about the relationship that they have. They also had a super-romantic date.

Raven Gates – She’s also extremely likable, funny, and we feel like her candor at her one-on-one date is something that Nick appreciates — you gotta remember that he has a knack for frankness in his own right. This is in part why so many people like him as the lead.
