‘The Vampire Diaries’ series finale: Nina Dobrev, Candice King, more attend wrap party

TVD -

The cast and crew of “The Vampire Diaries” have been hard at work on the series finale for over the course of the past couple of weeks, so when you consider that, doesn’t it feel right that they have just a little bit of time to relax? We certainly think so.

Over the weekend, the cast and crew took advantage of the opportunity to have a big wrap party in Atlanta. This doesn’t necessarily mean that EVERY person on the show is necessarily done with filming just yet, but this is something that is getting close to completion. (Of course, even when filming has been wrapped up, you do also have to remember that there are some other things that will need to be done in editing and post production.)

For the most part, we were surprised by how quiet much of the cast was on social media for the wrap party, but they may have saw this as more of an opportunity to enjoy some private moments of celebration with their friends and colleagues. After all, there will be some further opportunities to celebrate publicly after the fact when the series finale airs in March.

One person who did attend the wrap party and share a photo online was Kayla Ewell, who played Vicki previously on the show. She shared the photo below on Twitter featuring many other familiar faces, including former series lead Nina Dobrev and also Candice King, who is still one of the show’s main stars. We know that Dobrev will be back for the final episode, even though it is still not entirely clear just how Elena / Katherine will appear or their role in the overall endgame.

The series finale is going to have a wide array of different goals in which to try and achieve, but one of the biggest ones we presume is going to be figuring out a way to pay tribute to everyone who worked hard on the show throughout the past several years. It’ll have to make sense for the story, but the writers are going to figure this out, we presume.
