‘Code Black’ season 2 finale spoilers: The outbreak

Code Black -

The second season of “Code Black” will be ending on CBS next week, and given the recent ratings for the show, there is some ambiguity still out there regarding whether or not this will also be the series finale. The network (for the time being) has yet to confirm whether or not there will be a third season, so we have to view the finale as one that could close the door on the series as a whole, which is a rather depressing thought since this is really a great show.

Here’s what we can say about this episode: It’s probably going to be the deadliest episode of the entire season, if not the series. It’s hard to describe it as anything else when you start to think for a minute about the idea of a serious virus that is going to be spreading across the hospital.

Synopsis – “The doctors work with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to find an antidote to the deadly viral outbreak at Angels Memorial. Also, Leanne makes a life-changing decision, and Jesse welcomes a new batch of residents.”

Obviously, one of the biggest things that we’re going to see in this finale are some incredibly difficult choices that will be made, and potentially even shake up the cast if it is renewed for a third season. This is a series that does like a certain degree of fluidity with their cast (much like the Syfy show “Z Nation”). Just remember for a minute here that we saw several people leave between the first and the second season, as there are new residents who will end up coming and going. Such is the nature of life working at a hospital, especially one like Angels Memorial where there are so many patients. It’s stressful, difficult, and as a result of that, we figure that there are going to be some struggles that come along with working there even in contrast to other hospitals.

Is there anything that you want to see in particular on the finale of “Code Black”? Do you think the show will come back for a third season? Share some of your thoughts now with a comment, and head over to this link in the event you want some other news when it comes to the show. (Photo: CBS.)
