‘The Bachelor’ alum Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell deny split rumors
Mrs. Carter: This “Bachelor” romance does not seem to be over just yet.
In a post on Instagram this week, the most-recent star of the winter version of “The Bachelor” in Ben Higgins made it clear that despite any rumors that you may be hearing about the demises of his relationship, he and his fiancee Lauren Bushnell (who he first met on the ABC show) are still going strong. The rumors first started thanks to social media (isn’t that where all the worst rumors catch fire?), given the fact that she was recently seen vacationing without him, and there have been some subtle changes to various profiles of hers online that tend to make people think that something is amiss. This is also something that Reality Steve commented on recently, and he tends to be pretty good at pointing out where there’s smoke, there’s often fire when it comes to these couples.
However, Ben insists that there is no trouble, and since his recent post, Lauren has also made it clear that the relationship is still strong. These two have endured a number of different obstacles and roadblocks along the way already in their relationship. For example, they’ve starred together on the Freeform series “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?,” and this is a ton of public pressure to put on a young couple to constantly face questions about how they are doing or when they are going to get married.
Ultimately, here’s to hoping that the couple doesn’t have to deal with any more rumors for now and they can just be left alone to figure out if this is right for them or not. The show’s had a reasonably good run of relationships as of late, with the last one to fall apart being Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff. Ben / Lauren, Kaitlyn / Shawn, and JoJo / Jordan are all still together. (Hopefully, the same goes for Nick Viall and whoever he picks at the end of his season.)
