Aaron Paul searches for ‘Price is Right’ vengeance on ‘The Late Late Show’

Late Late Show -For us, basically anything Aaron Paul does is going to be something worth watching – we would watch him read a phone book; with that being said, watching the former “Breaking Bad” star attempt to conquer one of his old demons on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” takes things to another level.

Paul made an appearance on Wednesday night’s new episode of the show, and attempted to conquer what is in many ways his own white whale — trying to redeem himself on “The Price Is Right.” As some people out there may recall, Aaron was a contestant back on the Bob Barker version of the show prior to him becoming a household name with “Breaking Bad”. He made it all the way to the Showcase Showdown at the end of the show, and ended up losing by just a couple of hundred dollars. One new car ended up destroying the young man’s dreams of game-show royalty. What we saw here was effectively a hilarious chance to get it all back.

There are a number of wonderful moments in this sketch, whether it be Aaron bidding in Contestants’ Row against a mop and a mannequin, him kicking the Big Wheel after seemingly spinning a dollar (we’re betting that they edited it to make it look like that was the case), and then also Drew Carey coming out to catch them in the act. We won’t spoil the ending for you, but let’s just say that it’s ridiculous and probably everything you would want to see out of this including Aaron Paul swearing like a sailor.

The only bummer is we didn’t get to see Paul play any trademark games here. Was the set for Hole in One put away somewhere? Could he at least have done a little bit of Plinko? We suppose this would’ve been too long to air on the show if they kept stretching it, so it seems silly to lament something that is already freakin’ brilliant.

In the end, the big thing is that we got to see Aaron back on “The Price Is Right,” and as a reminder, you can continue to see him on new episodes of “The Path.” You’ve got a pretty great venue in which to see him shine out there, so we hope you get an opportunity to check it out if you haven’t already.
