‘Chicago Fire’ season 5 spoilers: Boden’s latest problem; Severide’s impending decision

Chicago Fire -

For all “Chicago Fire” fans, we do come bearing the news that there is no new episode coming on NBC tonight. This is a brief hiatus; rest assured, there are going to be some more episodes coming in the weeks ahead, and we’ll be around to share more scoop and news on all of them moving forward. This includes the upcoming February 14 episode “Trading in Scuttlebutt,” which is going to be a very important hour for a pair of characters.

First, let’s start with Boden. He’s going to make a key decision in this episode while out on the field, and it’s one that goes against what a superior wants. Following this, said superior is going to have some serious ego bruising going on, and he will take it upon himself to try to make life horrible for Boden and the entire crew of Firehouse 51.

It’s a shame to see Boden run into this sort of situation, mostly because we hardly think of him as a bad dude. He’s just someone who makes tough, strong decisions in the moment, and those decisions could end up having some widespread consequences.

As for what else you can see during the episode, one of the big things is that Severide is going to make a big decision that could impact his entire future. Could it be tied to Anna, who we recently saw leave Chicago? It’s possible, but that’s far from confirmed. There is also a good chance that it is tied to something that happens on February 7, which is when the show returns with new episodes.

Meanwhile, we’re also going to have a chance to see Brett make some changes of her own. We know that on February 7 she and Antonio are going to be facing a rough patch, so hopefully this doesn’t mean that there are some further issues coming for them down the road.
