‘The Fosters’ season 4, episode 12 preview: Jesus’ dreamworld; Brandon’s new role

Fosters -To say that the winter premiere of “The Fosters” would be making a rather gross understatement given everything that we saw unfold from start to finish during the episode. After all, Jesus underwent life-saving surgery, Callie went to the police with a statement, Brandon’s relationship with Cortney ended, and Jude could be in some new trouble that he wasn’t in previously. Basically, EVERYONE is in a state of crisis.

With this said, it does appear that next week’s “Dream a Little Dream” is going to be an opportunity for Brandon to step up and try to put some of his own issues aside. This says a lot about him, given how devastated that he could be given what he went through when it comes to Julliard. Also in the episode, be prepared for a very different side of Jesus than one we’ve seen to date — specifically, one that is an alternate universe.

Synopsis – “As Stef and Lena stand vigil over an unconscious Jesus, he dreams of an alternate world wherein he tries to save Mariana but can’t get to her. Already stretched thin, the moms receive news that Callie is in serious legal trouble. Mariana seeks comfort in Mat’s arms, while Brandon tries to hold the family together.”

When it comes to Mariana and Mat in particular, one of the big questions that we have is whether or not Mat is going to forgive her for some of the recent secrets she’s kept. In particular, he was not exactly aware of the fact that she kept in contact with Nick for a long time, and in many ways led him on and contributed to his confusion when it comes to their relationship.

Let’s just hope that by the time we make it to the end of the episode, we get a positive update on Jesus’ condition. Otherwise, we could be in for a rather confusing few weeks ahead not knowing how he is going to make it through this.

Promo – You see some of Jesus fighting for his life, but then also Callie going through what could be juvenile hall. Given some of what she’s done, it’s no surprise to see her there — still, we imagine some painful stories are coming up.
