‘Supergirl’ season 2, episode 11 preview: A new White Martian threat

Supergirl -

Through the character of M’gann on “Supergirl,” we had a chance to learn that not every White Martian out there is evil and intent on destroying the human race. Yet, at the same exact time, it’d also be foolish to diminish and ignore some of the people out there who are dangerous. There are several of them, and we’re going to see one of them in Armek appear on next week’s new episode “The Martian Chronicles.” This is someone who has a specific agenda in mind, and this could lead to J’onn J’onzz working to pay things forward a little bit as a way of thanking M’gann for everything that she did to help him.

Of course, this is “Supergirl,” so the journey to help her is not going to be anywhere near as easy as it would first appear on the surface.

Synopsis – “Armek (guest star Terrell Tilford), a White Martian, descends on National City intent on taking M’gann (guest star Sharon Leal) back to Mars to face her punishment as a traitor. Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) determine the best way to keep M’gann safe is to bring her to the DEO. However, when it is revealed that Armek shape-shifted into M’gann and is now loose in the building, the team realize he could be disguised as any one of them.”

The clear problem here is how to stop someone who’s made it almost impossible for themselves to be stopped. If you attack at the wrong time, you could hurt or even kill the wrong person by mistake. As for other storylines, we’re sure that there will be some in the episode; they are just not the focus for the time being.

Promo – The presence of the White Martian certainly makes this look creepy … and like it could be our first real “Supergirl” bottle episode where almost the entire story is confined to a single place.
