‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 13 preview: The quest for Chloe in winter finale

Lucifer -What’s with all of the little arcs on “Lucifer” this season? We love the show, but obviously there is a little bit of frustration that comes via watching it play out in small pieces.

Yet, we also know that this is a scheduling issue. Fox knew that they wanted to launch their temporary Monday lineup led by “24: Legacy” following the Super Bowl. As a result of that, they couldn’t save “Lucifer” and “Gotham” from the fall until the spring, since the shows would then run into a good chunk of the summer. Giving us these three episodes was akin to handing a little snack in between meals. Hopefully, this one is going to be able to tide you over given that there is such a substantial wait coming between now and when the next new episode of the series is going to be coming up.

In terms of content, here is what we know: Lucifer is literally going to have to go to Hell and back in order to save Chloe, and the questions are going to further arise as to how much of all of this is destiny, and if there is anything that can be done to turn things around in a different direction. How in control of his own destiny is Lucifer? Is he able to mold and shape things of his own free will? We certainly hope so, given otherwise the entire journey we’ve been on in regards to him and Chloe is going to turn out to be a rather big bummer. This is a show that does do some of its best work when it gives us a reason to have some hope that no one is fully in control.

One way or another, we figure that there will probably be some answers coming up on Monday — and then also a super-long cliffhanger that keeps you waiting with excitement for many more weeks.
