‘Chicago PD’ season 4 spoilers: Is Kenny Rixton in trouble?

Chicago PD -While Ruzek is off on an undercover mission, “Chicago PD” has brought someone into the fold in Kenny Rixton to take his place — at least temporarily. As for why him, the simple answer is just that hiring him makes the most sense in terms of his history. He worked with Voight previously on the gang unit, so he knows a thing or two about how he operates.

Unfortunately, we’ve already seen some tension start to form between the two, as it is clear that Rixton is not necessarily someone who is a big fan of following orders / disclosing information all of the time. We’ve seen him be a bit of a secret-keeper, and in particular, we’ve seen some of the secrets that he’s kept lead to a certain degree of trouble.

So moving forward this season, could these tensions escalate to a whole new level? Based on early indications that we’re hearing about, the answer to this question could end up being a “yes.” On the upcoming February 15 episode entitled “Seven Indictments,” Lindsay and Halstead are going to be concerned about Rixton after getting what NBC describes as an “odd” warning about him. Were they told that he was dirty, or that he’s dipping his hands into the wrong cookie jars? That’s all possible, but given that this is a cop you’re talking about here, you cannot exactly approach him with the information in the same way that you would any ordinary suspect. you’ve gotta find a different way to go about finding the truth.

As for the primary case at the center of the episode, be prepared to see Intelligence looking into the case of a home explosion, one with seemingly no witnesses and a body that has been burned beyond the point of easy identification. Given how effective fire can be at destroying evidence. It’s probably fair to assume that this is going to be a difficult challenge for the team to try and figure out.
