‘Hunted’ episode 2 preview: When drones attack on CBS
Tonight’s new episode of “Hunted” is coming your way in a mere number of hours — the 8:00 p.m. timeslot is where it’s going to end permanently for the remainder of the season.
If you read our take of the premiere, then you’ve got a good feeling how we feel about the show right now. When it’s bogging itself down with the exposition and introducing us to its wide array of various operatives (there are almost as many of them in the picture above as there are participants on this show), the pacing gets a little slow. However, when you’ve got a chase going on in people are closing in on the “fugitives,” the adrenaline gets going and it’s incredibly exciting. Watching what happened to Matt & Christina on the premiere episode was completely ridiculous, both in terms of what they were doing and also in terms of how quickly the two of them ended up getting caught by the end of the episode.
The good news is that some of the remaining teams seem to be doing a little bit better, with David and Emiley leading the way among them. Despite looking like they were in a trouble spot at the end of the premiere, the two manage to avoid detection as they escaped their previous hiding spot. (Also, they hid in the trunk of his car.) The sneak peek below features the two of them out in the woods. They know that the operatives are on their tail, and with that they’re trying to make their way through 40+ acres of forest to get on the otherwise without too much detection.
Here’s the problem: A drone! The people who are after them are really utilizing every resource at this point, and this is going to cut into their advantage dramatically if they’re spotted. The drone cannot exactly eliminate them from the game, but they better have another plan soon or else they run the risk of having the walls close in around them.
Also tonight, be ready to meet at least one other team, who seem to think that running a business with air guns makes them well equipped to go in hiding. Last we checked, you’re not shooting anyone on this show!
