‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3, episode 9 preview: Dating and drama galore
The third season of “Jane the Virgin” returned to the air tonight with new episodes, new revelations, and also a story that set up everything that is going to be coming in the weeks and months ahead. This is one where we’re going to be seeing Jane and Michael continue to struggle. Meanwhile, there will be some more concerns over Mateo, Rogelio reaching another milestone when it comes to the career, and some relationship drama across the board.
Don’t worry, as there is also still going to be a lot of fun coming in the hour coming up. The promo below makes that clear, even if it is just from a romantic perspective alone. Would it have been nice to get some other character highlights thrown in here somewhere? Maybe, but we rather like this strategy given that they are at least giving you a funny moment to look forward to. We’ll take this over what many other networks out there are doing, especially when it comes to how many of them just promote the same premise over and over again.

“Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) are both feeling the pressure – Jane with turning in the perfect novel and Michael with passing his upcoming test. Jane and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) become concerned over Mateo’s development when they learn that other children his age are more advanced. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) invites everyone to the last day of filming for his telenovela, but he is not pleased with the ending. After watching Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio’s interaction, Darci (guest star Justina Machado) begins to question her and Rogelio’s potential relationship. Meanwhile, Rafael is upset when he learns what Petra (Yael Grobglas) is up to, but she explains that she is protecting him once again.”
