‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Corinne Olympios, Taylor Nolan’s possible 2-on-1 date in episode 5

Nick -Tonight, “The Bachelor” gave you an episode with pretty much literal and metaphorical manure. There were threats, drama, and a little bit of romance here and there. We’ve also got a showdown for the ages between Taylor Nolan and Corinne Olympios. Also, it does seem like Corinne’s got at least one friend in the house, so there’s that.

Based on the preview for next week’s new episode, it does seem like there’s a whole LOT more to come between these two women .. including the dreaded two-on-one date that we see every season. Specifically, we saw the two ladies out on location somewhere in the middle of the woods, where they were engaging in trading some more barbs behind each other’s back. The narrator said that one of them will not make it through the episode, and if we had to guess, it’s probably Taylor. Why? Because the Bachelor Gods hate us and want us to have to endure as much drama as humanly possible for the rest of the season.

Our feeling here in actuality is that it really doesn’t matter all that much one way or another who is going to stay in this episode, given that neither one of them really stand all that great of a chance. At the moment, you have to say that Raven Gates is the favorite to win the season based on everything that we saw tonight. Corinne is too dramatic, Taylor is too caught up in the drama, and Danielle Lombard even got some rough comments her way during the group date.

What really matters with this show now is getting from point A to point B, and seeing just how much producers can milk a given storyline, for example, Corinne is clearly not going to be punching anyone in the face despite some of her threats. A good 95% of what you see in previews tends to be bluster, but since this show is silly escapism, we don’t mind all THAT much.

Final thought: We wish we had more silliness from Alexis a.k.a. Shark / Dolphin lady. She was fun in the first episode!
