‘This Is Us’ episode 13 preview: Kevin’s decision, Jack and Rebecca’s debate

There is another new episode of “This Is Us” arriving on NBC Tuesday night, and judging from the new promo that we have for it below, this is going to be a show about making tough choices and figuring out precisely how to handle consequences before they even come.

One way to think about this is through the lens of Kevin, who is gearing up to make an enormous choice on this upcoming episode in terms of his romantic life. While there may be something to be said of putting yourself out there, what happens if it goes south? This is something that he does have to consider, though at the same time, what if it goes right? This is a show about choices and the impact that they have on your life, and watching what he goes through here shines a light on many things past and present. Maybe his romantic spirit has a little bit of Jack in it. (No, we’re not saying that he made this decision under the influence of alcohol.)

Speaking of choices, another one is coming courtesy of Jack and Rebecca, who contemplate in the past of this episode as to whether or not they should have another child, and consequence expand their family further beyond the three. We haven’t met a fourth child, so we assume that they made the choice to not give this a shot. Yet, at the same time you have to remember that this is a show that has pulled the rug from under us before.

The biggest thing that you may have to be excited about going int this episode is merely that the show’s producers are making the choice to give us a new episode focusing on more of the main characters now, as opposed to one where the majority of the attention is instead paid to someone we barely knew like the firefighter.
