‘MacGyver’ episode 14 spoilers: First details on ‘Fish Scaler’ released!
Before we dive too far into this new “MacGyver” article, we should go ahead and start it off by relaying the bad news once more that alas, there is no new episode of the series airing tonight on CBS. It would be rather lovely if there was, but you’re waiting until we get around to Friday, February 3 to see “Fish Scaler” on the air.
To help tide you over, we do now have the official synopsis now for the episode, which makes it clear that the new boss in Matty Webber (Meredith Eaton) is going to have an impact in a very brief period of time:
“Using a fish scaler and some fishing wire, Mac and Jack must track down a corrupt FBI agent who has framed a man for murder. Also, everyone on the team is terrified to get their first performance review from Matty, their tough new boss.”
To date, what we’ve learned about Matty is that she comes with a reputation for being tough and rather brusque; in particular, Jack has a history with her that makes him rather wary of being around her or getting feedback from her. The part of this dynamic that makes it fun is that around most people, Jack is a pretty lighthearted and easy-going guy. This is one of the first times that we’ve seen him be really rattled by someone on such a level. This, in turn, makes us all the more excited to see what she does next.
As for the mission part of the episode, let’s just say that the majority of our excitement there stems mostly from getting the opportunity to see precisely what causes Mac and Jack to have only a fish scaler and some wire. Are these two guys on the fishing trip from hell or something?
Rest assured that once we get closer to this episode airing, we’re going to have some additional news on what to expect. For now, feel free to let us know in the comments what you want to see coming up on the show.
