‘Chicago Fire’ season 5: Should Severide be with Anna, or Stella?
Mrs. Carter: Is there a new “Chicago Fire” love triangle officially starting to take hold?
At the start of the season, we were starting to think that Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd were going places romantically, only for that to be disrupted somewhat by everything that happened with Grant and the ensuing violence. Yet, over the coming weeks we’ve started to see something more materialize between the two. Maybe it was Kelly listing her as his emergency contract, or maybe it was her seeing how much he was willing to sacrifice for Anna that started to make her want to pursue that a little bit further.
Even though this character (played by Charlotte Sullivan) has only been around for a few episodes, fans already have a new for the ‘ship in #Severanna, and it is quickly gaining a lot of popularity. We understand why: She brings out a sweet, different side to Kelly than the one that we’ve seen on the series in some time, and they have a good bit in common, at least in terms of their spirit for adventure and their sense of humor. Neither gets down in the dumps too much about anything, and they simply choose instead to keep on fighting.
If there is a concern with the two, it’s this: How would they operate in the real world? Would they be able to operate in the real world? There’s no telling, given that they’ve never been in this position before and she’s only seen Kelly in one environment. Meanwhile, he’s only seen her in this one, as well. It could be one of those situations where the two are feeling some sort of love out of circumstance, and when that is gone, you don’t know what happens.
On the flip side, Kelly and Stella also do have really amazing chemistry, they clearly care about each other, and we’ve seen the two of them in the real world before now. The only downside that is present there is that they’ve already tried to give things a go and it didn’t all that great. There is an opportunity for another chance, though, and given that they work together, it’s not as though they would never see one another during the day.
Our suggestion for this story is to simply go with what feels right when it comes to chemistry, and don’t force anything. Also, don’t keep this a love triangle for long since this show is really not a teen drama. Just allow him to find someone and be happy.
