‘Bull’ episode 11 video: ‘Scream’ actress Willa Fitzgerald guest stars in ‘Teacher’s Pet’
Here’s one of the fun things about TV — you can play a high-school student on one show and a teacher on another. This is precisely what we’re seeing Willa Fitzgerald go through right now in between her regular gig as Emma on “Scream” and her upcoming appearance on Tuesday night’s new episode of “Bull” entitled “Teacher’s Pet,” where she will be playing the part of Susan Bryant.
However, Bryant is no ordinary teacher, as she finds herself at the center of a complex, challenging case that is going to raise questions as to whether or not she was a predator who took advantage of one of her students. The focus of Bull’s case is going to be on Jordan (Jared Kemp), a high school student whose parents decide to file a civil suit against Susan. As for the reason why, it stems from a sexual relationship she’s had with their son. This is the sort of case that can escalate beyond just a civil one, and Bull is going to be brought in by an attorney for one of his former clients in Liberty Davis to consult.
So what was really behind this relationship, and what were her true motives? That’s still not clear, but there are two more twists to the case that you’re going to see unfold over the course of the hour:
1. At some point during the case, Jordan is going to turn away from his parents and side with his teacher. Couldn’t that make things awkward? The answer to that’s a pretty clear “yes.”
2. Susan is also going to reveal at some point that she is pregnant, but that Jordan is not the father. This news certainly generates a reaction in the promo, but it will it play any role in influencing matters in the courtroom?
While the case itself is rather disturbing, what we appreciate as a “Bull” viewer is how we’re seeing him tackle a wide array of different cases. We’ve seen him involved in some criminal cases and some civil ones, and not all of them have to do with someone being killed — typically a prerequisite for these sorts of shows. Michael Weatherly continues to bring a lot of intelligence and wit to the proceedings, and as someone who’s seen both of the first two seasons of “Scream,” it’ll be fascinating to see what Fitzgerald brings to the table here.
