As ‘Timeless’ episode 11 nears, take a look at Lucy, Wyatt’s relationship progress
Mrs. Carter: Are we going to see things progress for Lucy and Wyatt on “Timeless” through the remainder of season 1?
For most of the series so far, we’ve seen these two characters as smart, passionate, but also relatively unavailable because of their grief. While Lucy may have entered the time-travel project as someone invested in trying to save history, things have gone off the rails there for a number of different reasons … with the primary one being her interest in doing everything that she can in order to bring her sister back as her actions in the pilot wiped her off the map. She’s trying to bring someone back who was taken from her because of this technology, while Wyatt in turn has spent some time trying to bring back someone in his late wife who was taken long before Garcia Flynn arrived on the scene.
For the immediate future, we imagine that Flynn could still be transfixed on saving his wife — he loves her, and this does remain his primary focus right now more than anything else. Yet, at the same exact time we have a feeling that the more time Lucy and Wyatt spend together, the more some of these feelings could go away. The two kissed in the Bonnie & Clyde episode, and even though it was a part of a deliberate ruse, you do still have to wonder whether or not that moment bore some further feelings.
The one thing that we can say with confidence about this relationship is this: NBC is really trying to make you think that Lucy / Wyatt will become a thing. The video below is basically a montage of many of their moments from the first ten episodes, including that aforementioned kiss. If the show didn’t want you to think of the two characters in a romantic light, why go through all of this trouble? Even the title of the video is “A Love Story Begins.” Maybe Wyatt’s attempts to save Lucy after her capture by Flynn could help to spark these feelings along. We’ll get a good sense of this on Monday night, so stay tuned for more on that!
