‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 11 preview: The manipulation of Lucifer and Chloe
You’ve waited throughout the holiday hiatus when TV news is rather dry and finally we have some further “Lucifer” scoop to help prepare you for when the show returns on Monday. There are three episodes left until the show goes on hiatus once more, and it feels like many characters are going to have specific priorities in that time. The promo below is merely a small window into some of that.
For Mom / Charlotte, one thing seems to be clear: She’s going to use and manipulate the relationship between Lucifer and Chloe in any way that she can in the wake of the latest revelation. We know now of the sort of “destiny” that exists within the pair’s relationship, and that she was put on this Earth specifically for the reason to someday interact with Tom Ellis’ character. How that manifests itself specifically in the remaining episodes remains to be seen, but if you believe in destiny, that can be a powerful thing to toy with.
So where are we going to go beyond this? Well, we can tell you that there is also a storyline involving some of Lucifer’s former flames that should bring some more information to light in regards to his relationship history. There’s a lot of fun stuff that could come along with that, mostly because we get a sense that most of the people that he’s been with for most of the series have been very different from Chloe.
If there’s one thing that the second season of the show has done incredibly well over the course of its run, it is exploring the backstory of several different characters and the complicated relationships that exist there. We’re doing this now with Lucifer and his family, and it is coming after giving you small teases here and there of Chloe and her own past. It’s possible that there are some further backstories coming as we get closer to the end of this season, but there’s not too much known about that at the moment.
