‘MacGyver’ episode 13 preview: What leaves Mac and Jack stranded?
For those of you who are “MacGyver” fans, rest assured that there is some goodness coming your way tomorrow night in the form of a new episode — not only that, but we’ve got a pair of sneak peeks that highlight exactly how crazy things are going to get for our heroes.
We’re actually presenting the sneak peeks for “Large Blade” below in reverse order from where they were listed online by CBS, but this how they seem to sequentially in the episode. The story begins with us getting a chance to see Mac and Jack take out someone who’s clearly a really bad dude, and then get him on a helicopter in order to make their escape. Does this sound great? Absolutely, but in the second sneak preview, it’s pretty clear that things are starting to go awry. The helicopter ends up crashing, and while it leaves you on some sort of epic cliffhanger, do you really think that the show would be killing off its main characters in the thirteenth episode?
What we know from the promotional materials for this episode is that we’re going to see a tale of survival in a remote part of Kazakhstan, one that is going to be made increasingly difficult because of the sole fact that this said criminal is still alive, and he’s going to want revenge for being captured. Meanwhile, at the same exact time we’re going to be seeing Mac and Jack trying to care for the pilot, who was injured in the crash. They don’t have a whole lot at their disposal, and while that is fairly commonplace for this at this point, we gotta imagine that it still very much a challenge.
One other element of Friday’s episode that we’re interested in, but is unexplored here, is the aftermath of Thornton’s arrest. We know the team will have a new boss on Friday, but we don’t get a sense here as to precisely what she is like.
