‘The Bachelor’ episode 2 video: Another Liz Sandoz – Nick Viall confrontation over shared past

Elizabeth -

The more that we are starting to see of Nick Viall and Liz Sandoz on “The Bachelor,” the more we are feeling that this is not going to be going towards a happy conclusion for either one of them. Even if she did go on the show “for the right reasons,” she’s having a very hard time convincing Nick of that when there is so much of a reason for him to think otherwise.

In the sneak peek below (via Us Weekly), you can get another example of that as Nick tries once more to get to the bottom of a question that has plagued in the past two episodes: Why did Liz come on the show? She had ways to contact him before this, and she easily could have taken advantage of one of them. We feel like she’s dancing around whatever the truth may be, which is why Nick wonders whether or not she simply wanted to be on TV and came on the show as a result of that.

If we were Liz, here’s how we would have approached the situation. Tell him that you regretted not getting his phone number at the time, but it wasn’t until you saw him on “Bachelor in Paradise” that you realized what you may have missed out on. From there, it’s easy to say that it was hard to contact him at that time given that it was pretty clear he was in talks to land that gig (or whatever she can say that ends up on TV). The reality here is that there was probably only a window of a few short months that Liz could’ve contacted him, from the time at the wedding to the time in which there were rumblings about Nick going down to Paradise. It’s understandable to forgive her for not reaching out within the right context.

Unfortunately for her, we think that her cardinal sin is a failure to be able to articulate herself more so than anything that came about as a result of what happened with Nick so many months ago.
