BBC 2017 trailer features ‘Poldark,’ ‘Doctor Who,’ ‘Call the Midwife,’ and more

BBC One -Do you live in the UK, and do you love the majority of the programming on the BBC? If the answer to those two questions is “yes,” then we’ve got a video below that is going to be right up your alley.

In this clip, you can effectively see what are a list of highlights that are going to be coming up for the remainder of the calendar year. You’ve got shows in here including “Call the Midwife,” “Sherlock,” “Poldark,” “Doctor Who,” and of course several more. These are shows that are going to premiere over the course of the months ahead, and while the tiniest bit of footage that you have here is exciting, it is of course that: Tiny.

If you are not able to watch this video for whatever reason (it is likely blocked in all countries outside of the UK), then know that you are not missing much in the way of spoilers. While the shows presented are beloved and highly-rated, there will be more substantial trailers released soon enough. Consider this almost an early highlight reel with a nice bit of music to back it up.

The first component of the BBC’s new programming for the year is going to be “Let It Shine,” which is the new reality competition fronted by Gary Barlow of Take That and formerly “The X Factor.” It will be launching over the course of the weekend. Meanwhile, “Call the Midwife” should have its premiere presumably a little bit later this month, provided that the tradition holds from the past few seasons. For some of the other shows, unfortunately it’s a little too early to know for sure — for example, with “Doctor Who” the only thing we really know is “spring” in terms of launch date. “Poldark” could be later.

What do you think about this video, and some of the various highlights that lie within it? Do you feel even more excited and engaged for the new year? Be sure to share now below! (Photo: BBC.)
