‘The Blacklist’ season 4, episode 10 preview: The story for Megan Boone, James Spader in ‘The Forecaster’

The Blacklist logo any seasonTonight on “The Blacklist,” we are going to have a chance to see the show pick back up following the Alexander Kirk saga, and with an episode that is hopefully going to provide us with some further opportunities to explore some new and very different subjects. There’s a little bit of a clean slate between now and when the show goes on hiatus for the “Redemption” spin-off, so let’s see where things go now that we know that Liz Keen is now an agent again.

In looking forward now to what’s coming up next on the NBC show, know this: The title for the next installment is “The Forecaster,” and it certainly feels rather old-school in terms of its general approach.

Synopsis – “A new case arrives at Liz’s (Megan Boone) doorstep, where someone has left a diorama depicting a crime soon to be committed. Meanwhile, Red (James Spader) explores a new business opportunity.”

The biggest thing that we are hoping to have over the course of this episode is a case that has an interesting, twisted mystery at its core. This for the most part is something that the show can always give us more of, even though we realize that this is not always an easy thing to pull off.

The promo below does certainly echo the whole “old-school” concept, given that Red mentions the word “blacklister,” and at the same time, we have Liz back in an official capacity once more. This does feel very much like the show that so many of us originally fell in love with, but the question we now wonder is this: Can the show go back home again? Can it still work as it once did with so much water under the bridge between Liz and the other agents? This is something we’ll have to figure out tonight.
