‘Celebrity Big Brother’ 2017: How much was Raj J reportedly paid?

CBB -

Today marks the official launch of “Celebrity Big Brother” on Channel 5, and the series seems to be successful in their pursuit of booking yet again someone who’s connected to Kim Kardashian in some way. Recently, we saw them do this with Jonathan Cheban, who quit the show in the middle of production. Now, they are doing so with Ray J … and it didn’t come cheap to get him.

According to a report from TMZ, the show is paying Ray J a cool $1 million to appear on the upcoming season of the show, and then also all of his travel and hotel accommodations. We’ve heard of them paying in the hundreds of thousands before for some of their participants, but this has to be near the top of what they’ve offered over the time. Given the amount of revenue this show — which airs virtually all the time — makes, we’re not entirely surprised by any of this.

As for do we think Ray J is going to be entertaining, probably so. He’s done reality TV before, and we’re sure that he will get some of the most headlines that he’s had in years courtesy of anything that he says. Even if he just mentions the name “Kim Kardashian,” we have a feeling that the British press is going to take their computers and hammer out some articles at record speed. Hey, that’s just what they do these days.

The biggest rumor for this season is that there will be an All-Stars vs. First-Time Players twist, and that Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag could be the most notable American stars on the show beyond Ray J. We’ll see if that turns out to be the case.
