‘Fuller House’ season 3 will be even fuller than past seasons
Back before Netflix renewed “Fuller House” for a third season, there was a little bit of discussion about how the ratings for the second season were, at least at the time, lower than season 1. It’s hard to necessarily see that trend turning around at the moment given that there were many people who watched the pilot and didn’t stick with it.
Now, we’re at the point where much of that chatter can end. It really doesn’t matter so much what the ratings are so long as they are meeting the specifications of the streaming provider, and what we’ve got now is a little bit more proof that Netflix is more than happy with what they’re seeing. In a post on Twitter, creator Jeff Franklin confirmed that the third season will run for 18 episodes, which is five longer than either season so far.
One of the reasons for more episodes may be results-based, but another one could merely be that the schedules are a little more open than they once were. If you recall, star Candace Cameron Bure (DJ) recentlt departed “The View,” and in doing so, we imagine that there is less time that she is going to have to spend on cross-country flights and therefore more time that she can spend working on this show and collaborating with the rest of the cast.
With more episodes are hopefully also chances to see more of people like John Stamos or Bob Saget on the show moving forward; given that Stamos in particular may not have a full-time TV gig with “Scream Queens” likely facing cancellation at the moment, the odds are certainly higher than they’ve ever been that he will have time in his schedule.
The third season will premiere in 2017, and given that Franklin recently purchased the actual house used for the show, it may allow him and the rest of the cast to do some more cool things with it as opposed to continuing to just use the set.
