‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 19: ‘World Meets Girl’ to run for an hour
In a post on Twitter (see below), the show’s official writers room (which proved itself to be rather busy as of late due to denying some of the latest cancellation gossip) confirmed some recent reports that the show is moving to an earlier timeslot. “World Meets Girl” will air starting at 6:00 p.m. Eastern, and will run for an hour on Friday, January 6.
As for what you can expect over the course of this episode, the writers really make it clear: This is about learning from the audience. There will be a heavy behind-the-scenes element to this special, including a period of time in which the cast takes some questions from the audience. It’s a chance for the show to be interactive, and try to spread a little more of its positive message through direct involvement with the viewers. Odds are, you’ll be hearing from Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter just as much as you are from Riley and Maya.
Is it a little odd to anyone else that we’re getting this particular episode so soon to a possible series finale? We feel like this wouldn’t be the case if we knew that the show was in its final season, but as it is paying attention to this episode could prove challenging, given that it could be so easy to feel distracted during most of it.
Nonetheless, following this episode there are two more that will air next month: “Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen” (which you can read about further over at the link here) and then also the finale in “Girl Meets Goodbye,” which will feature many stars from past seasons.
