‘Girl Meets World’ writers say season 4 renewal still possible
Consider this a welcome dose of hope at a time when there was not a lot of it when it comes to the future of “Girl Meets World” on the air.
Earlier today, the news went viral from a recent Rider Strong podcast that the series “ended” earlier this year following filming the third-season finale, and this was only one of a couple signs floating around out there that we could be at the end of the road for the series.
Luckily, the show’s writers (with presumably creator Michael Jacobs leading the way) are doing their best to dispel some of the talk right now. In a recent string of tweets on social media, the team behind the scenes had the following to say about the rumors, and what the actor behind Shawn Hunter had to say:
“As much as I love Shawn Hunter, having created his character and everything, you have to remember that he was wrong a lot. There is no official word as yet. Disney decision on season 4 coming soon. Officially, season 3 ends with 3 wonderful episodes in January. Whatever happens, it has been a great joy to get to continue this story. If it is over, thank you. If not, we will keep giving our best.”
The best thing that you can continue to do at the moment if you love “Girl Meets World” and consider yourself a major fan of the series is continue to do everything that you can in order to get the word out to your friends and family to watch live, discuss the show on social media, and also make sure the network knows that you’re interested in getting more of it. While the Freeform move is a great idea and something we would sign off on, at the same time we’re also cognizant of the notion that this may not be something that is altogether possible.
