‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 8: What Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Bonnie, and more want for the holidays

The eighth season of “The Vampire Diaries” is currently on hiatus over on The CW, but when it comes back in the new year, we’re going to have the rather-great chance to see almost every upcoming episode in succession until we get to the series finale.

We know that there are going to be many wonderful opportunities coming up to detail things when it comes to the story that could lie ahead, so for the sake of this article, we want to simplify things by focusing specifically on one thing: The holidays! Today is Christmas, after all, and we’re also in the midst of the second day of Hanukkah. With this being the season of giving, let’s try (as we’ve done with many other articles over the past few days) to be Santa and figure out what many of our favorite characters would have at the top of their wishlist.

Damon – The obvious answer here is that he wants Elena back, but we’re not sure that his head is put-together enough to know to ask for this. Damon may just want at present either a giant bottle of booze or for Cade to completely shut off what remains of his brain so he doesn’t have to think about anything.

Stefan – As for his brother, he doesn’t want to be a ripper! Also, June wedding anyone? (Like with Damon, we’re not sure Stefan’s thinking that clearly, either; he may just want to tear people apart for the holidays with his present mindset.)

Caroline – Like we said, June wedding. Also, she may want Bonnie to learn some sort of spell that keeps the kids from ever being hurt.

Bonnie – How about a lengthy vacation for her and Enzo to get as far away from all of this madness as possible?

Enzo – Of course, Enzo would also love said trip, but we’re thinking for now he’d settle for a DVD boxed set of something funny. Maybe Enzo would be “Seinfeld” fan. Anything to serve as a distraction.

Alaric – He’d probably say no to any gifts in favor of keeping his daughters safe, unless this gift is some sort of massive weapon that he can use to keep his daughters safe. Maybe his gift can be one of the characters from “The Flash” to serve as a personal bodyguard?

Matt – Maybe he’ll just want to go to wherever Jeremy’s taken off to at this point, given that he’s not altogether happy with his father right now and all Mystic Falls has brought him is pain and a lot of supernatural suffering.

Happy holidays! We’ll have to wait and see if any of these wishes become reality. (We definitely don’t count on some of them!)
