Christmas Day marathons: ‘Criminal Minds,’ ‘Dirty Jobs,’ ‘Mythbusters,’ and more

Criminal Minds -Before we dive too much further into this particular article, a Happy Holidays to you and yours! Given that this is Christmas Day, we hope that there are plenty of people out there are enjoying some time with friends and loved ones.

For those of you who already have had their fill of Christmas — or choose to celebrate Hanukkah or something else instead — hopefully this article gives you at least a slight sense of what is happening on some other networks. All of the times that are listed below are Eastern standard, so remember that when checking out some of these shows!

Non-holiday movies – If you check out Spike, USA, or MTV today, there are some films that’ll suit your fancy. If you want to watch a few movies with the kids, then FX is going to be airing a wide array of films suited for the entire family. Syfy is airing some disaster movies, just in case you really want to freak out this Christmas.

Criminal Minds” – Until 6:00 p.m. tonight, you’ll be able to check out a chorus of new episodes over on A&E.

“Dirty Jobs” – For those who want to explore some of the stranger jobs that are out there, Discovery is running a marathon from now until midnight.

“30 for 30” – If you’ve got ESPN2, there’s a chance to check out a marathon of new episodes over the course of the day!

“Mythbusters’ – Until the wee hours of the morning, Discovery is going to continue airing the long-running series.

For the most part, today’s a little bit lighter on the TV marathons from some other holidays. If none of these suit your fancy, we suggest just logging into Netflix and checking out something new over there. “The OA” is still fairly new, and while strange, it may still be worth your time.
