‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 10 video: Tension mounts between Barry, Wally

Flash -

How about this as a nice little present for this holiday season? As we get closer to the winter premiere of “The Flash” airing next month, we have a small preview that suggests that when the show picks back up, the pressure to change the future and save Iris may be getting to Barry Allen in a pretty severe way.

In this preview, you see The Flash enter STAR Labs with his new speedster-in-training Kid Flash a.k.a. Wally. In what is a surprise to almost no one, Wally’s not doing the best job out there listening to orders, and with that, Barry doesn’t sound altogether interested in continuing to help him. We don’t get the sense that Wally was really attempting to be any sort of overt jerk here, either, in trying to ignore what Barry said.

We think that Barry’s reaction to Wally here is two-fold, but the first part of it starts with the pressure he probably feels right now to be perfect, thinking that if he makes a single wrong move at any point in his journey, he could cause something to happen that dooms Iris once and for all. Also, there is probably a part of him that is being overprotective of Wally just because he feels like it is his obligation to, and if he doesn’t act this way around him, there is a good chance that Wally could do something to hurt himself.

Unfortunately, there’s no precise word who the main adversary for the immediate future is going to be. It’s fair to assume that Savitar is not gone forever, but how will he come back, and what will be his next move? A character like this is relatively mysterious, and therefore relatively hard to predict.
