‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ season 2: First look at two-hour event!
Because of the way that the schedule is working for The CW this year with so many different shows that they are trying to schedule, there is going to be something a little bit different with “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” when it returns on Friday, January 6: You are going to get a chance to see two episodes back to back! That’s a chance to really dive in to some characters, see some ridiculous songs, and hopefully be entertained every step of the way. Hopefully, this tune-in note is enough time for you to tell all of your friends during this Christmas quiet period that this is a show that they need to be checking out. Hey, season 1 is on Netflix!
Anyway, we’ve got the synopses for the two upcoming episodes below.
2×08, “Who is Josh’s Soup Fairy?” – “Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) jumps at the chance to repair her relationship with Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin), which includes babysitting Tommy (guest star Steele Stebbins). Meanwhile, Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III) has a revelation that forces him to re-evaluate things.”
2×09, “When Do I Get to Spend Time with Josh?” – “When Darryl (Pete Gardner) sells the law firm, the new boss Nathaniel (guest star Scott Michael Foster) threatens layoffs, which causes everyone to go into panic mode. Rebecca (Rachel Bloom), determined to save everyone’s jobs, goes to extreme measures to prove Nathaniel wrong.”
Probably the best thing about the promo below is that you’ve got a new song in here seemingly entitled “So Maternal” that really speaks for itself, given that Rebecca made try her best to use this as a rallying cry to make herself feel a little bit better about some of her abilities to take care of Tommy. As you would imagine, this act is not going to anywhere near as well for Rebecca as she imagined it in her head.
As we get closer and closer to the end of the season, rest assured that we’ll have even more news to share! For now, have a crazy holiday — but in the best way possible.
