‘Homeland’ season 6 spoilers: First official news on premiere!

Carrie and Saul -

We know that you’ve been forced to wait a rather-long time for news on “Homeland” season 6, but that does make some sense given that you’ve been waiting for a rather long time for “Homeland” in general. For the first time the show’s waiting until January to premiere rather than the fall, and we know that we’re looking at a very different story to go along with that. We’ve got a different setting in New York, a different focus, and of course some different characters here and there. Specifically, the period of Presidential transition will be a focus, and that’s something that everyone should know a bit about by the time the show premieres based on what’s been happening over the past month.

The premiere episode (airing on January 15) is entitled “Fair Game,” and you can now see some details for it below courtesy of SpoilerTV:

“Carrie and Franny live in Brooklyn where Carrie works as an advocate for Muslim Americans. Dar and Saul brief President-elect Keane. Quinn struggles with his new circumstances.”

This synopsis mostly just sets up some of the information that we’ve already heard here and there about the new season, though it is nice to see some sort of official notice that Quinn is alive — even if we’ve heard the show’s producers discuss it in the past. The thing that makes this show so interesting and realistic is that we know they won’t just be having the character pop up as though nothing ever happened. There will be some sort of evolution, and we’ll get a chance to see where he is now versus where he was before. His life will be altered in some sort of way that is interesting and, as a viewer, exciting.
