‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4 spoilers: More details about ‘LMD’ arc, Aida’s rise

LMD -

The first part of “Agents of SHIELD” season 4 seemingly ended the story of Ghost Rider for now, and it potentially set in motion some other interesting things that could be coming up int he future. After all, we now know that Aida is more sinister than she at first seemed, and that this whole life-model decoy plan does have some similarities to Ultron. Aida apparently has the ability now to create her own versions of other people within SHIELD, and she’s already using that to her advantage.

Below, you can see (via SpoilerTV) some further in-depth details regarding the “LMD” chapter of the show — while we don’t think it necessarily gives too much away when it comes to what exactly will be coming up on the show that we haven’t already heard, but it does make it clear precisely what elements of the story are going to continue to become a focus:

“On the heels of their encounter with Ghost Rider, their strangest phenomenon yet, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. suddenly find themselves up against a myriad of new and ongoing threats: The anti-Inhuman Watchdogs are gaining political influence with Senator Nadeer, and uniting behind a mysterious benefactor. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the team, Aida has kidnapped Agent May and replaced her with a Life Model Decoy. Aida’s evil plans for May and the team remain a mystery.”

The most dangerous part of Aida’s plan for the time being is merely that it is a plan that is taking place under everyone’s nose. There isn’t anyone who is altogether aware of what she is working on, and while we would think that eventually someone would be abreast of what is going on, there’s no guarantee or time-frame. We just has to assume that they will figure it out eventually just because otherwise, it’d be rather boring to see Aida steamroll everyone over the course of the rest of the season.

As the photo above gives away, “Agents of SHIELD” is returning to ABC on Tuesday, January 10 with new episodes. While you wait to get around to this point, head over here to get some further news when it comes to the show! (Photo: ABC.)
